Book Review: Sought by Destiny by Monica Ageno

Sought by Destiny by Monica Ageno is Book2 in the Chronicles of the Fates. It is a successful sequel of the book Sought by Fate. As I am someone who has been closely following this series and the arrival and departure of the characters, I have a different-level bonding and grasping of this book, unlike many first time readers.

As in the last part, the novel was left off with Feylin being acquainted with Olron, the Dark Mage, once the king of Gravindale but was  exiled from there. Well, Storm and Feylin formed much part of the story in the book one. As this sequel commences, I wasn’t surprised to find many important characters, including Feylin in the captivity of Death Palace of Olron.

Romance is one of the strongest themes of the book. Thus, if you are familiar with mate bond in YA fantasy thrillers, you will have upper hand while reading this novel. Feylin is enigmatic, her character is strong but she is sinister in her own ways, especially choosing mate bond, sometime it looked Olron and then Storm.

“My Fates, you are weakened,” she said in realization. “The mate bond is draining you. How did I forget about this? It happened to Olron too.”

Anyway, she be anywhere, has have that enemies-to-lover equation. The novel brims with magical elements, indulgence of foe, magical potent, creatures of land and waters, a different world altogether. Putting them in a piece, while chugging up with the set of familiar characters is a feeling beyond happiness…bliss…a delightful reading experience!

I absolutely loved this book in the series. Before starting this book I was excited about the fate of the old characters, as I chugged ahead with them, the novel turned out totally unpredictable. The plot was fine, enough to keep my attention. What really impressed me was the magical world, so different and away from humans’ earth. I did love the magic aspects and the addition of creatures of the sea in the last part. That was pretty cool. I recommend this book to all YA Fantasy Romance Thriller readers. Overall, for me it turned out to be a good read.

The book is available to buy from Amazon/Kindle

Poem Summary: Where The Mind Is Without Fear by Rabindranath Tagore

Poem by Rabindranath Tagore: Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high Where knowledge is free Where the world has not been broken up into fragments By narrow domestic walls Where words come out from the depth of truth Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit Where the mind is led forward by thee Into ever-widening thought and action Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake. Short Summary: This poem is written by Rabindranath Tagore during pre-independence days, when India was a colony of the British. The underlying theme of the poem is absolute freedom; the poet wants the citizens of his country to be living in a free state. According to the poem, we see that the poet is expressing his views there should be a country, like where people live without any sort of fear and with pure dignity…they should ...
