The Birds & The Bees by Milly Johnson is a romantic novel that draws love’s comparison with bees. As you see, either love can make you fly or it stings. Humourus, yet relevant,…only Milly can do it with such brilliance.

How’d it be, if your fiance walks out on you weeks before the wedding? Horrible, isn’t it? Stevie’s fiance not only did breakup with her weeks before their wedding but went straight into the arms of a beautiful lady who was Stevie’s friend. Gruesome!

She begins to think it’s not her destiny to have a happy family. She challenges her fate and plans a move to win her man back. She is forced to pair up with a Scottish bloke, McLean who is anything but lean with a reputation that makes everyone tremble. Does she win her man back?

It is an interesting take on romance that more like the dance between the birds and the bees. Milly’s characters are charming and refreshing. The story picks up pace midway. It’s simply riveting. You may love the chemistry between the protagonists and the subtle nuances of family relationships.

Must read for chick lit fans and romance fans.
