Knowledge, yes, and honour too,
And strength of character
And the gift of laughter.
What gold do we give our children?
The gold of a sunny childhood,
Open spaces, a home that binds
Us to the common good…
These simple things
Are greater than the gold of kings.

    What can we give to our children? The poet in Ruskin Bond asks it. We can ask them to be knowledgeable. We can help them extending to knowledge. We can give them honour. too and if they feel it honour within them, they will be able to gain strength of character and to be morally strong is to feel the gif of laughter. Try to give them the gold of childhood. A sunny childhood is what they expect it from you. Do not give them a scared childhood full of trouble, care and anxiety. Open spaces they need it most. Their simplicity do not stain it, their innocence do not dilute with ignorance. Let them be innocent, ignorant, do not make them feel guilty. Let them free. Let them be happy and cheerful. Let them play, read and learn. Do not disturb them with your thoughts. A house which gives it peace, rest, leisure and joy let it be their dwelling. The common good, simpler things, these the all they need it most rather than anything else in the world. Even the gold of the kings they want it not.
