Author Highlight: Chetan Thakkar Discusses his Book ‘Avatar of Protector’ and Stories from Life

It’s time for another author interview. Today, with us, we have Chetan Thakkar, he lives in Uran, Navi Mumbai, India.

Kindly tell us a bit about you.

I am Author of Five Habits of Lifehacks (Non-Fiction) before writing the book Avatar of Protector. By profession I am an entrepreneur, also the founder of Z P Films. In my 12 years of career, I worked in 19 different fields. In snatches, I have also written inspirational and motivational articles.

Now, tell us what’s your area of interest (genre) when it comes to writing novels? Is it general fiction or something else that you want to reveal later with the upcoming books?

I read all type of genres but my core interest is fantasy and sci-fi genre as a writer, Avatar of Protector is a combination of fantasy, sci-fi, and mythology.

Do you think writing a book from the comfort of bedroom or study room is possible?

For me writing is possible from anywhere but I like quiet place, be it bedroom or outdoor.

Where do you write from? Do you go to some specific place, like beachside or into the hills?

I wrote this book mostly while traveling by ferry boats as I travel daily from Uran to Mumbai and from bedroom at night.

Did you do proper research before penning down this book?

Of Course, there are different types of research that one can do, searching on internet is the best way, but I like to travel from one place to another and meet new people for research.

What inspired you to write this book? Any tales to tell…

The habit of listening stories of Ramayana and Mahabharata from my aunty and grandmother gave me knowledge about Hindu mythology. As I grow up, my desire increased to seek more knowledge about each character from mythology stories. Also, I was more interested in watching fantasy movies and reading fantasy books.

What was your biggest learning experience throughout the publishing process?

Writing a book is tough, publishing book is tougher and marketing book is toughest, but as a writer you need learn how to do it all well.

Looking back, what did you do right that helped you break in as a writer?

I used a snowflake method to write a book, you can Google it. It’s very easy process to keep your story in line and character development process.

Any best piece of writing advice from your side that we haven’t discussed?

Writing is to write what comes in to our mind, but if you want to be a writer then learn how we can engage five senses of readers, readers can see picture in their mind while reading and they feel what our character feels.

Something personal about you people may be surprised to know?

I was a choreographer. An ardent music lover and I can play guitar. Also I do meditation regularly.

Any future books that you would like to discuss now?

Yes, there is the last chapter of “Avatar of Protector” that is the birth of new sequel.
