This book is a
sequel to ‘I Too Had a Love Story’ by Ravinder Singh. Those who read and liked
the first book waited for this book from the bottom of their hearts. It came
out after five years. But, was it worth the patience? Actually, through this
book the author raised a question: can a heartbroken person fall in love again
or many a time in life? Is it possible to fall in love again and again after
having lost your first lover in a tragedy?
This book was
received with much attention because people wanted to know what had happened to
the hero, Ravin, of first book. Was he alive? How did he cope up after the
demise of Khushi – the girl who died in the first book? Well, in this book, as
expected he meets another beautiful girl called Simar.
Like life,
love too is an uncertain topic of life. No one can be extra possessive about it
or hold it firmly? If it isn’t in the fate, then the lovers are doomed for
tragedies and partition. Simply no control over fates!
On an offshore
project, Ravin goes to Belgium, there he sees the people of different descent
and race. Something being colorful comes in his life. Always, back in his mind,
the loss of Khusi haunts him. Yet he is living a good professional life. There
in a gym, he happens to meet Simar, and for no apparent reason they begin
liking each other. It was quite natural. Simar, hails from Gurgaon, is pursuing
an MBA degree from Belgium. They date and hang around for some time and then
decide to get married.
In India,
Ravin meets her parents and things look as fine as always. The climax is that
Simar is an over pampered girl. She wants to stay in Belgium after marriage
with Ravin. On the other hand, Ravin doesn’t want to leave his parents in
India. Here comes the conflict of nature and interest. Simar being too obsessive
about herself leaves him on 24 Feb – a black date on which Khushi (Ravin’s
first lover died). What happens next is unknown…
So, basically
this book underlines the fact that nowadays divorce and breakups are more
common than true love stories. But why? Does love ever exist in today’s world
where people are self-centered and hardly pays any attention to anyone who
waits for them?
State the conflict of the story and explain how it is resolved
