In life we come across strangers at some point of time. Whether we believe in them or not, there are many instances that they inevitably change our life. Meeting and getting affected by a stranger is nothing but a part of our destiny. But there are some people that are highly skeptical about strangers. They just run away or ignore them like anything. It is their rigid belief – don’t trust them. Why? They have no plausible reason to justify their stance. But be it anything…stranger is a captivating word. It sways hearts of many. So, on the similar lines, debutante author Sangeeta Tomar presents Drizzle of Love, a light soft romance novel. It’s a simple novel with lucid language usage. It throws no difficulties to its readers. It’s as receptive as it should be for a compulsive to a naïve romance reader.
The story of the novel is self-paced; it’s neither sophisticated nor ostentatious. There is something fresh and natural about it.
At the façade of the story, we see Sia is the protagonist. She lives in Jaipur and works a teacher. She is simple, will not believe a stranger, and values her family and their decisions. However, she longs to go to Delhi for higher studies and research in her field thereafter. She with a friend named Juhi heads for a new strange city: Delhi. The author pragmatically captured nuisances of parting away with parents, meeting strangers in the train journey, and so on. Initially, the novel is about Sia and her struggle with Delhi in terms of college attendance, accommodation, and then she gets a good friend circle. How a girl must live in an unknown city – one can learn from Sia.
Anyway, the romance angle adds up when in a party one young handsome man eyes her. She loathes him but something pulls her towards him. He is Sumer – friend of Gaurav, who is some sort of brother to Sia that takes up her responsibility in Delhi. Sumer is an IAS officer currently serving in Delhi. He is attracted to Sia since the first day. However, Sia still has to respond. But like in any romance novel, there come chances and encounters when they both see and meet each other. One remarkable event in their life was Shimla trip. The trip was no lesser than a climax. Their feelings become evident for each other. But how they should proceed ahead with love hidden in their hearts? The story keeps going on. Sia’s biggest fear came out that she fell in love with a stranger. And she is worried for her parents…as how they will react. That needs to be discovered right at the moment and for that you need to pick up the book.
It’s not a warts-and-all novel. It has a good storyline with no compromise on cultural values. The good thing about this book is that their love sizzles from scratch. They enjoy being in love. This novel will evoke a lot of emotions to the lovers of past and contemporary lovers can relate their story with it. Love is not only a strong feeling but it also needs consistency. All in all, a lovely romance to get into a new story.
